Lindelwa's work celebrates the masculinity and gender fluidity within her own identity.

'I am more of a masculine female that has never been free to express my identity due to my environment. The spacious landscapes that emerge in my work represent the freedom and peace that I have been longing for my entire life. Roses are featured in my current work to speak about the fragility and the vulnerability that one can find when they are longing for freedom of expression.'

Her inclusion of photographic figures in her work is a central component that delivers a vulnerable commentary on the evolution of the camera as a tool for personal reflection and its employ allows the user to mask and expose identity interchangeably.
